Review the opponent's mission requirements and your available reactions.
Player 1 Primary Mission: —
Keep it simple: remember the mission, your active Secondaries, what your units can do now, and which Stratagems are available.
Ask your opponent whether their army can generate CP beyond the normal Command Phase gain.
Choose 1 augmentation manually, or use Random 2. Your selection will stay active for the battle.
After both players have deployed their armies, if Masters of the Maelstrom is on the battlefield — or embarked within a Transport that is on the battlefield — you can select up to three Heretic Astartes units and redeploy them. You can also place those units into Strategic Reserves.
First review the things the phase requires. Then review what your army allows you to do.
Reviewed options turn green. You choose the order of the army-specific options.
At the start of any phase, if an eligible friendly Heretic Astartes unit is Battle-shocked and within 12" of the Dark Apostle, you can select it. That unit is no longer Battle-shocked.
While this unit’s Garreon the Corpsemaster is on the battlefield, in your Command phase, select one of the following:
Target one eligible Heretic Astartes Infantry unit. It suffers D3 mortal wounds, then gains one additional Experimental Augmentation until the start of your next Command phase.
Target one eligible Heretic Astartes Infantry unit. Return destroyed non-Character model(s) according to the rule.
